Project Timeline
Phase 1
Phase 1 is the first 3 steps to creating the design and pattern for your material. *This phase takes 1-3 weeks to complete.

Templating
Sit back and relax while our technicians come to you! Our templating process employs state of the art technology and takes approximately 1 – 5 hours depending on the size and desired coverage of your vessel. We charge a 50% deposit (of your total cost) to cover the materials at time of templating. If deposit is not paid, we will NOT move forward with your boat. *Please have your boat in clean and dry condition, free from any debris, clutter and covers. Don’t have the time or aren’t in town? Not to worry, our technicians can have your vessel ‘template ready’ same day as template with this additional service for $125 per hour!

Digitizing
In this 3 – 7 business day process we take the images from templating and digitally recreate a 3-dimensional model of your boat. We comb through every detail of your vessel from bow to stern and port to starboard, ensuring to account for every snap, screw, rod holder, cleat and curve, creating a truly customized and tailored finish.
Cad Design
Utilizing the 3D model of your boat from the digitization process, our engineer will then create (approximately 3 – 7 business days) your desired pattern, design, and/or logo(s) that you’ve previously selected in our intake form. *All desired logos need to be sent via text to your technician or e-mailed to info@griptekmd.com - Images must appear in black and white with limited line detail.
Phase 2
Phase 2 includes customer finalization of design, CNC routing, and inspection of material before shipping. *This phase takes 3-8 weeks to complete.
Customer Finalization
This time frame is customer dependent based on your approval of the CAD Design sent and number of revisions. The Technician’s Assistant will be in contact with you as every one of our customers are allotted TWO (2) revisions at no additional cost. Each revision will take 1 – 3 business days to return completed from our engineer. Any additional and continual design revisioning will incur a fee of $100 per revision. Revisions are qualified as any change in design, patten, placement, or sizing/shaping. *Reverting to previous revisions is considered a ‘new’ individual revision and will be charged as such. Every customer is allotted TWO (2) logos at no additional cost. Any additional logos are priced at $100 per new logo and must be sent via text to your technician or e-mailed to info@griptekmd.com prior to CAD Design Finalization.
CNC Cutting
After the finalization of your completed design work, we can begin cutting your material! This portion is dependent on the number of customers in front of you in line, we generally allot 7 – 14 business days for queue and cutting combined. We do our best to schedule projects with respective timelines, however, que time may be shorter or longer dependent on seasonal influx of simultaneous projects.
Inspection
The inspection process takes approximately 15-40 minutes at the end of your material's production run. This time is allotted for our technicians to inspect the material to ensure it meets our quality standards.
Phase 3
Phase 3 is the final stage and consists of the shipping and installation of your material installation, as well as final balance being paid.
*This phase usually takes 1-4 weeks.
Shipping
Your material is on its way and we will be contacting you after its arrival to schedule your install! Like most shipping, we allot 7 – 14 business days for your material to arrive from time of shipment.
Once we receive your material in our possession we will then inspect it to ensure it meets our quality standards.
Installation
The installation process takes approximately 1 - 7 hours on the scheduled date of installation. Being located in SWFL, we do our best to work with the weather, to ensure our products adhere firmly. We start all installs at 10am or later and will only install on weather permitting days. We take pride in our work and aspire to have the best quality, long lasting material. For all our installs we expect the boat to be clear of any debris, clutter and covers and washed with soap and water 24 hours in advance. Don’t have the time or not in town? Not to worry, our technician can have your vessel ‘install ready’ with this additional service for $125 an hour.
Final Balance Due
Once your material has been installed and inspected, Our technician will then go over proper care and cleaning instructions. Once you are satisfied, we will then charge your preferred payment method. As soon as your payment has been processed, you will receive a digital copy of your receipt with our 10 YEAR WARRANTY attached, as well as our contact info for any questions you may have.
